This is one of our Training Consultants, Gordon James (pictured on the left), demonstrating to a team of our learners how to conduct a 5S Audit.
This forms part of our delivery structure, ensuring that they have not only a good understanding of 5S (which is the foundation and standardisation for all Lean manufacturing processes), but also ensures the practical implementation of good working practices and techniques.
This is also a good way to identify possible Kaizen projects
and an effective method to identify “waste”. Gordon went through the 5 stages of the 5S process as a means to demonstrate that with constant monitoring of standards this was what was referred to as the “stepped” approach when conducting 5S audits
